Pittsburg Pitstop
City Spotlight: Pittsburg
In your mid to late 20's attending multiple weddings in a matter of months is no joke. How lucky are we that we have so many wonderful friends all over the county?! Each destination wedding is like mini vacation where we get to explore the coolest restaurants, hotels and attractions. The latest: Pittsburg!
Nestled between brick buildings, industrial factories and quaint streets we found a few hidden gems that are 100% worth sharing!
Pancakes Please: If you're in the market for a killer breakfast that will leave your stomach satisfied and your pockets plentiful - Pamela's Diner is the place for you. From classic breakfast favorites to some smash hit hash, this place has a little something for everyone. Personally, I am not a pancake girl but when I saw the table next to me receive a plateful of the most beautiful, golden brown, crepe style pancakes, I immediately regretted my initial order. Thank god we had put in a side order of these fan favorites to split but a bit of wise advice coming your way: everyone order their own short stack. They don't even need syrup...they are that unreal.
Another must see: The Duquesne Incline
Take a ride on this century old incline and enjoy a view that is unlike any other! The incline was rescued and restored in 1963 and kept its original, elegant, wooden cable cars that are just breathtaking! Once at the top, enjoy a little bit of history on a self guided tour of the museum as well as a delicious drink at Vue412! **Fun fact: This is where my cousin and her now hubby got engaged a few years back!
Our quick 48 hour trip in Pittsburg was jam packed with pancakes (yes, we ate there twice!), historic sightseeing and a beautiful wedding! We didnt get a chance to stop at the Hienz Factory or see a game...but there's always next time!
