DIY Salt Dough Ornaments
Deck the Halls with Dough
Loving our DIY Salt Dough Ornaments! Could these #anthroinspired ornaments be any cuter?? So easy to make and a fun holiday craft for all! Using a few pantry ingredients, these holiday cuties are one of the easiest DIYs yet!
Ingredients:
-4 cups of flour
-1 cup of salt
-1 3/4 cup of warm water
The Process:
Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl until dough forms. If it’s a little dry, you can add a bit more water
Knead for 10 minutes until smooth and soft.
Roll out dough and use cookie cutters to make the shapes you want or freehand it!
Using a straw or chopstick, poke a hole in the top of the ornament
Bake on a parchment lined cookie sheet at 250 for 2 hours, flipping 1/2 way through or let air dry for 2-5 days (depending on how wet your dough is)
Once the ornaments are dry, paint away! We used craft paint from our local craft store - fun tip: feel free to play with colors, not everything needs to be red and green!
To seal, coat with modge podge for a lasting finish.
