A Look Back at Christmas:
The Most Wonderful Time of the Year:
Helloooo friends! Took a little break from the blog to enjoy the holiday season and start the new year off totally present with family and friends. Going to be back tracking a little bit until I finish playing catch up here so hang tight! Flash back to December: Ollie and I were finally starting to feel a bit settled in the house - I cant believe he'd already been home for a month as we were decorating the tree. **Side bar: Is anyone thinking of getting a Norwich Terrier? DO IT! Ollie is the best companion and cutest puppy in the whole wide world, I'd highly recommend!**
Anyways, let's talk holiday decor. I wanted to keep the traditional "Christmas red" to a literal non-existent minimum so I went with mixed metals, blush, white and mercury glass accents around the whole house, including the wrapping paper. That color combo mixed with the neutral palette of the house was a dream! Most of these unique ornaments and decorative items were easy to find at Target, Homegoods or World Market (the trifecta as we like to call it) - but others were found at antique stores, thrift shops and even handmade. I think that is the best part about trimming the tree...each ornament has a story, a memory that you can relive when you add it to the perfect branch. Check out some of my favorite shots from this past holiday season below!
